Message from the Executive Director 

Welcome to the October-December 2022 edition of the FYI Newsletter. As this year draws to a close, it is hard to believe that this has been the third year that COVID-19 has impacted our organisation. Throughout the year however, participants, families, carers and staff have shown determination and resilience, professionalism and teamwork. The pandemic has taught us to expect the unexpected, to have faith in our organisation’s ability to overcome adversity, and in doing so, to emerge stronger and wiser from our collective experience. Going forward, the organisation remains committed to maintaining a vigilant approach to keeping everyone safe and minimising the spread of infection. 

Despite the uncertainty brought about by the pandemic, there was a cause for celebration in October, with the convening of the organisation's 2022 Annual General Meeting. I am happy to report that it was a wonderful, inclusive event, as we celebrated 50 years of service delivery. You can see some photos of this special event on page 7. 

Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas and Festive Season and I look forward to seeing you all in 2023.
